This is a is digital download ebook full of journal prompts focused on the 8 Limbs of Yoga. I wrote these journal prompts and questions for my students enrolled in the 200-hour yoga teacher training. It grew over the years into this journal as I had more insights to the 8-limb system and how to apply the 8 limbs to everyday life. In this book you will find over 100 pages of writing prompts to help learn, practice and live the 8 limbs of yoga. Journaling is a very powerful mental practice which helps with the later limbs of yoga focus, concentration and meditation. The ethical principles of yoga and the daily habits encouraged by this system make for great discussions. You will reflect on what you think and observe what you do.

The 8 limbs of yoga are a forgiving system. If you are not great at postures, you can work on truth telling. If you cannot get the hang of meditation, you begin with yoga postures. It is hard for some people to change greedy habits, so they try concentration first. There is a lifetime of work and challenge in these limbs. So many aspects of our being are addressed in this holistic system: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual.

Yoga teachers or trainers can also use the questions is in this journal as a place to begin discussions during teacher training or assign the journal for homework. We not only write but draw and doodle, list and scribble. All of that is encouraged here. You can begin at page one or open to any page and write and create. It can be turned into an art journal or a memoir. My intention is for yoga students to not only gain a better understanding of the 8-limb system but to be able to put these limbs into practice and change the world.
